An old printworks, via Raiale

In 2012 six artists rented an old printworks on the industrial edge of Pescara and turned it into studios. Since then it has seen exhibitions, residencies, night-time installations and more people than anyone could count.

It resembles no other place in the area, and first-time visitors usually notice. That is why certain projects find a form here that they would not find elsewhere.

The space is also available without equipment: if you bring your own lights, you don't pay for ours.

Prices are VAT-free under the Italian flat-rate scheme. A 4% INPS social-security surcharge applies, plus a €2 stamp duty on amounts over €77.47.

• A 30% deposit on booking: the date is confirmed on receipt.
• Cancellation within 48 hours: the deposit is refunded; after that, it is retained.
• The space is to be returned in the condition in which it was handed over. Routine cleaning is included.
• For filming, please let us know in advance how many people will be present.

Projects, rather than rentals.

When a project is close to our own work, whether an exhibition, a publication or a residency, we can imagine an exchange in place of a fee. Tell us about it.

Four desks, alongside our own. We don't rent them out: we choose whom to share them with.

In a coworking space, what counts is who arrives first. Here what counts is affinity: designers, photographers, artists, writers, each with their own clients and projects.

• A permanent desk, in a space that looks nothing like an office.
• Use of the large hall for meetings and filming, when available.
• No long-term commitment: a few months' trial, then we decide together.
• Working here does not mean joining Ultrastudios: everyone signs their own work.

Part of the space is being renovated so it can be used in every season: the desks will be available once the work is complete. In the meantime you are welcome to write to us about your practice and why you would like to share it with us.
