One studio has become many

Ultrastudios began in 2012 as a space for artists: invitations, hospitality, exhibitions. For more than a decade this work was sustained by many presences: artists, curators, technicians, friends who raised walls in the middle of the night. That history is not a backdrop to be invoked: it is the foundation on which our work can now grow wider.

For years the association was called Ultrastudio, in the singular. Since 2026 it has been Ultrastudios.

A single letter, and all the difference.

One studio has become many: more practices, more rooms, more ways of working under the same roof. Graphic design, illustration, photography and sound have found their place beside the exhibitions. They are not new languages: they are fields that once stayed at the edge of the frame and now belong within it.

To begin: a session to bring things into focus

Half a day together, in our studio or at yours. We look at what exists, listen to what you imagine and, at the end, deliver a written page: who you are, what to say and in which voice, colours and references, where to begin and what to let go.

Visual identity

The name, the colours, the typefaces: the way an enterprise presents itself on a sign, a package, a shop window. Where an identity is missing, we build it. Where it exists but time has made it inconsistent, we reassemble it and set down its rules, so that it stays recognisable.

Illustration and posters

Poster series for venues, festivals and seasons: a constant grid, an illustration that renews itself. It is repetition that makes a place recognisable.

Curation and creative direction

Exhibitions, festivals, cultural projects. We accompany a project, even for single days, whenever an overall view is needed: what to communicate, in what form and, above all, what to leave out.

Photography, video and content

We photograph what you make and the people who make it possible. Each month, where useful, we deliver a complete set of images, graphics and short vertical videos, with their texts.

We don't run your channels: we build their imagery.

1. A first conversation. Twenty minutes, free of charge. If we are not the right people, we will tell you straight away.
2. A written quote. A fixed price, not by the hour, setting out what we will deliver, when, and what is not included.
3. Half at the start, half on delivery. Work begins on receipt of the first half.
4. Two rounds of revisions included. They are usually enough; should more be needed, you will know in advance.
5. Delivery. The files are yours, in high resolution and in the formats you need.

Professional services are provided by Gioia Di Girolamo as a freelance professional, who issues her own invoices. Cultural projects, residencies and exhibitions are activities of Ultrastudios APS.
